Pulse is our answer to GA4 — one analytics panel for every StudioApps product in a single place. No cookies, no GDPR consent banners, no sharing your data with Google. One shared ~5 KB tracker, our own servers, a typed SDK. Built end to end, from the script in the footer to a dashboard with world maps, funnels, heatmaps and five attribution models.
Dynamic maplibre layers with native circle + symbol rendering. Drill down from country to city to session. Filter by site (click a pill, the map filters), top countries per site, a live table. Every site has its own colour, and marker collisions are resolved natively.
Every figure comes from our production dashboard — verifiable on a call under NDA. Statistics from the last 30 days across 9 portfolio sites.
13 views per site — acquisition, behaviour, customers, funnels, attribution. Pageviews, engagement metrics, source breakdown, countries, devices, conversion paths. What GA4 delivers only after a complicated setup, Pulse shows from the first minute.
Pulse treated these as standard from day one. They are not a paid add-on, they do not need an enterprise plan, and they are not hidden behind a consent gate.
A daily rotating hash from IP + user agent + salt. Identification works, but without a cookie — everything is computed at the ingest endpoint.
Native maplibre + country GeoJSON, live traffic. Country → city → session. Zero DOM markers for 24+ countries.
User agent → data-centre CIDR ranges → heuristics, plus a post-hoc reclassifier every hour. Every event is denormalised with bot_category.
Last-click, first-click, linear, time-decay, position-based. What GA4 only delivers in the 360 edition ($150k/year).
Clicks + scroll. No bolting on Hotjar or MS Clarity. Everything in one database, one tracker, one panel.
Recency / Frequency / Monetary segmentation. Abandoned baskets. Everything the GA4 e-commerce standard covers, but with no setup.
Tokens in mailings automatically create people profiles in Pulse. A lookup to the CRM fetches the full lead name. GDPR-compliant.
One database, every site. site_id validated through site_key, no crosstalk. Postgres Row Level Security on every join.
Live visits. Two scheduled jobs: bot reclassification every hour, CRM lookup every minute. 11 SQL migrations, monthly partitioning.
A list of every site in the portfolio, with the last 30 days compared to the previous period. Click a card and you get that site's full statistics. No logging into nine separate Google Analytics dashboards.
A concrete comparison with the tools we considered before we decided to build Pulse. Every column shows real prices and real features as of May 2026.
"Zero cookies. Zero GDPR consent banners. Nine sites. One panel. And yes, we built it ourselves."
Boring technology on purpose. The kind that will still be stable in three years. Nothing experimental, no framework of the month.
Pulse has been in production for about a quarter. It is good, but not perfect. Here is the list of features it does not have today — so you know what you are getting instead of having to guess.
Pulse is an internal StudioApps tool — we do not sell it as a SaaS. But if you build a product with us, it is part of the package. We will show it live on a call under NDA.
